Important Fitment Information
David Brown tractors were manufactured with different starter arrangements depending on engine specification and production date.
This listing is for the LRS166 replacement and should not be confused with the separate LRS157-type starter.
Before ordering, confirm the original starter identification, electrical-system voltage, power rating, number of pinion teeth, mounting flange and electrical connections.
Some earlier David Brown tractors may have been converted to alternative electrical or starter systems.
If you are unsure which replacement is required, please contact us with your tractor model, serial number and photographs or identification numbers from the original starter.
